Summary Has to be the 1st point of contact from application support prospective, and plays a critical role to acknowledge and work on the resolution of issues with proper communication to stakeholders. Responsible for application maintenance and support, evaluates and makes recommendation on techniques, practices, or technologies that would enhance business needs. Also does work to ensure continuous process improvements. The individual needs to have a good understanding of application topography and the ability to collaborate between all parties involved to maintain a stable application environment. Application Support Engg must be able to effectively support applications in web development frameworks, DevSecOps, serverless computing/architecture and cloud technologies Candidate should have strong background in Java/react.js, Springboot, Spring Framework, Oracle /SQL/NoSQL databases. Good understanding for web based client facing application is needed. Major Duties: 1. Monitor and troubleshoot application issues in production 2. Smoke test (SOD/EOD/SOW/EOW/Weekend/ DR / Release) 3. Leads troubleshooting, analysis, and solution of unexpected systems behaviors that impact the quality of service 4. Liaise with stakeholders (tech and business) in problem resolution 5. Communicate issue/resolution status (written and verbal) to project team and management 6. Active Batch monitoring 24X7 7. Active Monitoring INC queues and take necessary action as per SOP 8. Active App monitoring – Tools (APV/Catchpoint/Dynatrace) and take necessary action as per SOP 9. 1st POC for Service delivery team , Computer Ops for any issue. – On call Support 10. Disaster Recovery and Patch testing 11. Good to have knowledge on public cloud (Azure) 12. Access review/Audit activity 13. Work with senior staff and management on service delivery improvements a. Raising INC for Upstream and downstream in case SLA miss and actively monitoring for upgrading/downgrading. b. Resolving INCs related to job abends after successful run c. Sending Batch Status Report. dashboard /ServiceNow monitoring Knowledge/Skills · Must have support expectance in Java/React.js, microservices, Springboot, Spring Framework, SQL/NoSQL databases / Unix · Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and best practices · Experience in building dashboard over different platforms · Azure DevOps/Control-M/ServiceNow/Datastage · Experience in monitoring tool like Dynatrace, AppInsight, APIM Catchpoint.. · Excellent oral and written communication skills are required · Highly flexible and adaptable to change · Analytical and problem solving skills · Hands on experience in Linux · A positive goal orientated attitude with a focus on service delivery · Strong interest in working with business teams on issue resolution · Strong Communication and interpersonal skills · Availability for on-call rotational support task including weekend Experience Required A College or University degree and/or relevant 6-9 years proven work experience.
