Educational Requirements

Currently a candidate for bachelor's degree or masters in electrical engineering, Telecommunication, Physics or a related field with an accredited school in US.

 

What You Will Learn:

This internship provides an immersive learning experience in the dynamic field of optical telecommunications. You will gain practical, hands-on knowledge in:

  • Performance Characterization: In-depth understanding and practical application of techniques for characterizing the performance of next-generation coherent linecards and pluggable optical modules.
  • Test Plan Development & Execution: How to develop, implement, and execute comprehensive ODVT test plans, from initial concept to final reporting.
  • Advanced Data Analysis: Techniques for analyzing complex test data, drawing meaningful conclusions, and translating findings into actionable insights for design improvements.
  • Problem-Solving in a Technical Environment: Facing and resolving intricate technical challenges, developing advanced problem-solving skills critical for engineering roles.
  • State-of-the-Art Technologies: Exposure to and understanding of state-of-the-art Digital Signal Processing (DSP), advanced optical front-end technologies, and the fundamental principles of transmission impairments in high-speed optical networks.
