About the role: 

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and curious software engineer to create software solutions for our mission critical software development services and solutions that support Nintex’s licensing, and other key customer-facing products.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using the .NET framework. The software engineer will collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture, write clean and scalable code, and provide technical support throughout the software development lifecycle. 

Your contribution will be:  

• Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages (C#, VB .NET)
• Participate in requirements analysis and collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
• Engage and work amongst a small group of software engineers working on the development of an enterprise application
• Work with Business Analyst/Project Owner to ensure designs meet requirements; analyze business processes and define application workflows focusing on usability
• Use Agile Tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps to plan and manage development tasks, estimation, project backlog, and capacity planning. 
• Lead and respond to peer code reviews in multiple programming languages 
• Improve existing software and develop documentation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Articulate code design choices clearly and suggest a feasible way forward 
• Analyze and implement technical solutions efficiently, you raise the team’s productivity by spotting opportunities for code re-use.
• Recognize risks in projects, identify requirement gaps and take appropriate actions promptly  

To be successful, we think you need:  

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 5+ years of experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer with Azure cloud services
• Salesforce and APEX experience is a big plus! 
• Proven experience with .NET languages (C#, Visual Basic), ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC)).
• Hands on experience in software development, including design, implementation, debugging, and support, building distributed, scalable system software and/or Services preferably in the cloud.
• Strong understanding of architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC). 
• Team player who has strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Demonstrate critical thinking and professional experience by thinking before you code to avoid wasted effort
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
