What you’ll do:

As a Senior Product Data Analyst, you will lay the foundation for how we identify and deliver insights to inform business decisions and improve user experience across our product suite. You will have a far-reaching impact on our award-winning product by identifying and analyzing the KPIs and metrics to develop actionable insights and recommendations. 

As an ideal candidate you are curious, detail-oriented, and driven to understand our customers, their needs, and how they behave and derive value from our products. You are familiar with the modern data toolset and product analytics tools. You can write SQL code and build dashboards that help stakeholders self-service. You can take a complex business case, translate it into research questions, dig deep to provide answers and recommendations, and communicate those results to non-technical stakeholders. You understand experiment design and A/B testing and are comfortable setting up new tests for mobile and web applications. You collaborate well with other teams on cross-functional initiatives. You can identify a goal or solution and determine the best course of action to achieve it. 

In this role, you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of NinjaTrader’s desktop, web, and mobile app products and become a subject matter expert in how customers use these products
  • Collaborate with product managers to develop strategies and goals, translating nebulous business context to well-defined objectives and measurements
  • Collaborate with design teams to measure user behavior and create experiments that improve user experience and business results
  • Collaborate with software engineers and data engineers to set up and maintain event tracking and data pipelines
  • Build dashboards and tools that allow stakeholders to self-service metrics and analysis
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis and make recommendations for high-impact decisions
  • Tie low-level metrics to high level business KPIs to estimate impact, set goals, and track results
  • Participate in strategy and ideation conversations, finding opportunities to improve the product. 

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or other similar field
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Analytics within a software or technology-focused environment
  • Proven track record of using analytics and qualitative understanding of business drivers to enable and execute decision making
  • Proven track record of working in cross-functional roles or collaborating with multiple teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to influence execs and other functional groups
  • Experience designing, setting up and analyzing experiments (A/B and multivariate tests)
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), SQL, and writing analytics code (R, Python)
  • Familiarity with product analytics and experimentation tools (Amplitude, Heap, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, etc.) 

Bonus Points for:

  • SaaS or FinTech experience
  • Familiarity with futures trading
  • Experience with Google Cloud suite of services
  • Experience working with large, semi-structured data
  • Experience with dbt
  • Experience working with Heap and LaunchDarkly specifically
