Job Description
The Nine Publishing Technology team continually delivers and maintains premium, market leading digital products, including: smh.com.au, theage.com.au and afr.com.au across multiple platforms and systems.
Software Engineers are responsible for the design, development, and delivery of products and services that delight our customers, and grow the business.
You will be responsible for developing high-quality, scalable and high performing solutions that align to business and technology goals. You will be working with technology leaders and other senior engineers to ensure consistency of our practices and processes across the Publishing Technology team.
Qualifications
What we would like to see on your resume:
- Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in React JS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Previous experience in web/software design and development.
- Experience in OO Programming Language such as Java/C++.
Desired skills
- Previous experience with several general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Golang, Python, Ruby, Node.js, AngularJS is highly regarded.
- Experience in designing and architecting high availability solutions.
- Experience in building and integrating high performance REST APIs.
- Experience in development and maintenance of technical documentation.
- Experience in cloud platforms, containers and continuous delivery.
- Knowledge and experience of DevOps.
- Understand the value and importance of well tested code
