This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, based out of Nine's North Sydney Office. We'd like someone who can come in at least 3 days per week. 

Job Description

As the Senior Product Manager for Mobile Apps, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for mobile apps that deliver value to our audiences and drive business growth. You will work closely with the Head of Audience Product, other senior product managers, and cross-functional teams including product design, engineering and business to define and execute product strategies and roadmaps that meet the needs of our audiences and achieve business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding and expertise in mobile operating systems and devices, as well as the Apple App and Google Play stores and ecosystems. 


Product Strategy and Roadmap:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Audience Product, other senior product managers, and cross-functional teams to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives and audience needs. 
  • Conduct market research, analyse user feedback, and stay informed on industry trends to identify new opportunities and areas for innovation. 
  • Prioritise features and enhancements based on business value, technical feasibility, and user feedback.

 Product Development and Execution:

  •  Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization, for our mobile apps on both iOS and Android platforms. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, content, marketing, and analytics to ensure the successful delivery of products. 
  • Define and track key product metrics to measure the success and impact of products. 
  • Analyse data to identify opportunities for product improvements and optimizations. 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including editorial teams, sales teams, technology teams, and external partners. 
  • Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with other senior product managers to ensure that digital products align with overall product strategy

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in product management, with a focus on mobile apps and mobile operating systems and devices
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering mobile apps that meet business objectives and audience needs, with expertise in the Apple App and Google Play stores and ecosystems.
  • Deep knowledge of product methodologies, ways of working and processes including design thinking, customer research and discovery 
  • Comfortable in Agile ways of working, collaborating with an Engineering Manager and Iteration Manager
  • Experience championing an iterative, data driven approach to product development
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
