Job Description

Company Description
Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.

Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.

Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.

Job Description

As Data Product Manager for the Finance & Ad Revenue Reporting squad, you will partner with the Head of Data Product to deliver the data models that power Nine’s invoicing, billing, and revenue reconciliation. You will keep these data products accurate, automated, and scalable while supporting the Ad Sales team with the reporting they need to track campaigns and revenue.

What You'll Do:

  • Roadmap Execution: Partner with the Head of Data Product to deliver quarterly initiatives that elevate financial and ad sales reporting across Nine.

  • Revenue Data Products: Support the end-to-end lifecycle of data models that aggregate ad revenue, ensuring they reliably underpin invoicing, billing, and reconciliation.

  • Ad Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the Ad Sales team to capture and deliver their ad revenue and campaign reporting needs.

  • Requirements & Specs: Write clear, comprehensive product requirements (PRDs) for new features and data models, including revenue aggregation and reconciliation logic.

  • Stakeholder Management: Proactively communicate with commercial and finance stakeholders on project progress, scope changes, and trade-offs.

  • Product Communication: Showcase new product launches, enhancements, and data capabilities to broader audiences across the business.

  • Adoption & Iteration: Use BigQuery and visualsation tools to monitor adoption, gather feedback, and continuously improve reporting products.

  • Privacy & Governance: Partner with internal Data Governance teams to ensure all financial and ad revenue initiatives comply with privacy and regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years across Product Management, Data Analytics, Business Analysis, or Project Management.

  • Proven track record of executing projects end-to-end- taking initiatives from scoping to launch on time and against set priorities.

  • Strong SQL proficiency and data warehouse experience (BigQuery preferred), with a solid grasp of data pipelines from raw ingestion to reporting.

  • A structured approach to problem-solving, with the ability to query data, pressure-test assumptions, and validate hypotheses before development.

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions for non-technical business partners.

  • Hands-on experience in Agile environments, managing backlogs in Jira, and facilitating sprint ceremonies.

Desirable:

  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in Ad Sales, Finance, or revenue analytics, with an understanding of how advertising revenue is billed, invoiced, and reconciled.
