WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for an ambitious Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Full Stack Development and passion for cloud-native development to take platform ownership. You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is excited by cutting-edge technology, and excels at problem-solving. You have a strong understanding of at least one framework in React, Angular, API Development, Python, NodeJS and AWS cloud-native platforms. You should be an excellent communicator, able to explain technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and operate with urgency and integrity.

Key Skills & Traits:

• Evangelize and cultivate adoption of GPaaS, open source software and agile principles within the organization.

• Ensure solutions are designed and developed using a scalable, highly resilient cloud native architecture.

• Deliver well-documented and well-tested code, and participate in peer code reviews.

• Design and develop tools and frameworks to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability and performance for the technology foundation of our platform.

• Ensure product and technical features are delivered to spec and on-time.

• Collaborate with and consult other Nike development teams, architecture teams etc.

• Explain designs and constraints to stakeholders and technical teams, gather alignment and buy-in.

• Provide responsive support and operations for the platforms you help build.

• Work with product management to support product / service scoping activities.

• Work with leadership to define delivery schedules of key features through an agile framework.

• Be a key contributor to overall architecture, framework and design of GPaaS.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will play a key role in shaping and delivering Nike’s next-generation platforms. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll leverage your technical expertise to build resilient, scalable solutions, manage platform performance, and ensure high standards of code quality. You’ll also be responsible for leading the adoption of open-source and agile methodologies within the organization. Day-to-Day Activities:

• Design, Develop, Test, Deploy and Maintain API’s.

• Implement APIs based on architecture frameworks and guidelines.

• Deep expertise in at least one of the technologies - Java, Golang, NodeJS.

• Full Stack Development Experience is must to have.

• Design and implement scalable, cloud-native architecture solutions.

• Proficient in managing AWS cloud-native platforms, with a strong PaaS (Platform as a Service) focus.

• Experience in handling databases, and AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, etc.).

• Good Knowledge on CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps Skills – Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes etc.,

• Collaborate with product managers to scope new features and capabilities.

• Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

• Improve the security, reliability, and performance of existing platforms.

• Evangelize PaaS and open-source solutions across Nike’s technology teams.

• Knowledge of software engineering best practices including version control, code reviews, and unit testing.

• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.

• 6-9 years of experience in designing and building production-grade API’s.

• Technical expertise in Full Stack Development, API Implementation, DevOps skills, Databases, and cloud-native architectures.

• Proficiency in Java, Golang, SQL, and AWS.

• Strong understanding of PaaS architecture and DevOps tools like Kubernetes and Jenkins.

• Familiarity with data governance, security features, and performance optimization.

• Keen attention to detail with a growth mindset and the desire to explore new technologies.
