WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Lead Performance Management Manager within Global Sports Marketing Operations. This role will develop and maintain reporting tools specifically tied to our sports marketing assets and business needs as well as evaluate the data and make recommendations on improvements of key business indicators and services for teams and athletes across the globe. The candidate will also bring a focus on UI/UX to bring these tools to life for our end users, as well as visualize hero metrics for presentation purposes. This role must understand multiple supply chain and logistics functions such as planning, product delivery, and operations and how to manage and support the sports marketing business. The candidate needs to be a dependable teammate and a self-motivated data evangelist. You are unconventionally curious, especially about how data can be used to optimize business opportunities, and you enjoy finding relationships between disparate data sets and clarity in a muddied data environment. Your curiosity also allows you to translate business requirements in ways to allow tool development to happen. You are competent in a variety of scripting languages, well-versed in automation techniques and at home in a cloud based big data environment. You also know how to rise above the numbers and explain the essential insights to business users, and you instinctively minimize complexity to focus on results. While you rely on data to provide your point, you love to think in an unexpected way and solve problems creatively. You are excited by the challenge of building something from the ground up.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in iterative tool and reporting development, have strong communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners to bring global business strategies to life.

This position will manage development and execution of reporting tools to enable fact-based business decisions.

Design and develop UI/UX for existing and newly developed tools.

Develop frameworks for repeatable validation of data integrity within data products supporting accurate and consistent reporting and analytics.

Drive adoption of and socialize the data tools with end users through user training.

Support standard methodologies in reporting and analysis: data integrity, unit testing, data quality control, system integration testing, modeling, validation, and documentation.

Monitor and solve operational or data issues in the data pipelines.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree or an additional +6 years additional progressive related experience or combination of relevant education, experience and training.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of directly demonstratable experience in analytics and report development.

  • Working understanding of best design and implementation practices in data visualization tools such as Tableau, IBM Cognos, MicroStrategy, PowerBI or QlikView.
  • Proficiency with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS.
  • Ability to visualize data reports for high-level communication.
  • Able to quickly pick up new programming languages, technologies, and frameworks.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship management, and confidence and proficiency in addressing partner audiences across all levels.
