WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will be a key member of the Global Footwear Manufacturing & Engineering team, reporting directly to the Director of Footwear Manufacturing and Engineering. Your role will involve supporting and developing new manufacturing capabilities, engineering and delivering high-quality products, leading functional initiatives, enhancing Quality Management Systems, and fostering the development of critical skills within the team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Lead FW Manufacturing Engineer needs to be curious, Strong technical expertise on engineering and manufacturing, have a tolerance for ambiguity, and possess the ability to work both collaboratively and independently and the ability to use data analysis to drive decision making. Continuous improvement and change are required to be successful and adapt to the changing requirements of our consumers and business.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, or Footwear school training and experience is required.

  • Extensive experience exceeding 10 years in FW engineering and manufacturing is essential.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communication, including presentations, is necessary.

  • A commitment to collaborating within diverse teams that encompass various cultural backgrounds to achieve shared objectives is important.

  • The candidate must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Effective collaboration with both functional and global teams to achieve desired outcomes is crucial.

  • Knowledge of Quality Management principles and the application of analytical skills to facilitate data-driven decision-making is expected.

  • Strong project management and influencing skills are anticipated to drive goals and initiatives successfully.

  • Possessing a robust commitment to nurturing the growth of others and promoting collaborative teamwork.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will work with Product Creation, Manufacturing & Engineering, Nike global team, cross functional teams like Chemical and System Engineering and with factory partners to support and drive the excellence to serve the consumer.

  • Collaborate with Product creation team to develop great innovative products and engineer them for scalability, ensuring timely delivery and high quality to serve.

  • Partner with Nike manufacturing factory partners and the Nike cross function team to build the new capabilities based in response to the market demands

  • Implement the Nike best practices across the Nike manufacturing factories to enhance the factory excellence.

  • Lead the cross functional team on critical initiatives and elevate the team capabilities through training and development opportunities.

  • Drive the Quality management initiatives and enhance effectiveness across the supply chain to consistently deliver great products.

  • Operate autonomously and take initiative to identify, investigate and resolve problems.

  • Develop new standard methodologies and processes as necessary to tackle internal/external business challenges.
