Business Intelligence Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) 
• Develop and manage datasets, data models, and semantic layers to support consistent reporting 3. Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures 
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting and analytics solutions 
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across reporting systems 
• Develop and maintain documentation for data models, reports, and processes 
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and reporting solutions 
• Implement and maintain data governance and best practices 
• Work with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure) to support analytics solutions 
• Assist in integrating data from internal and third-party systems 
• Identify opportunities to improve data processes and reporting efficiency 
• Provide support for production BI and analytics systems 
• Additional duties as assigned 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 2–5+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or data-focused roles 
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field or equivalent experience 
• Strong experience with Power BI and DAX or similar BI tools and languages 4. Strong SQL skills for data querying and transformation 
• Experience with data modeling (dimensional modeling, semantic layers) 
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines 
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms 
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and governance practices 
• Experience working with structured deployment processes (e.g., CI/CD, Azure DevOps) 
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy 
• Effective written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines 

• Experience in the mortgage industry or with Encompass (strongly preferred) 
• Experience with Python for data pipelines and automation 
• Experience with machine learning concepts or tools (e.g., scikit-learn) 
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, lakehouse architectures) 
• Experience with data transformation tools (e.g., Power Query, Spark, PySpark)
• Experience implementing data governance and KPI frameworks 
• Experience working with AI-assisted analytics tools and platforms 
• Familiarity with vector databases, semantic search, or AI-driven analytics workflows
