Director, Technology - Quality Assurance , Pune-India

You will work very closely with our product development teams, strategize QA plan ensuring high-quality standards in production Be able to guide team to innovate in automation frameworks to build better test suites.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management: Manage and mentor a team of performance engineers, providing guidance, support, and feedback. Define team goals, objectives, and KPIs, and monitor progress towards achieving them. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Groom senior members and prepare them as future leaders.

Strategy and Planning: Define, implement and improve on performance validation strategy that aligns with the overall software development goals and objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify testing requirements and priorities. Develop and maintain a roadmap for automation testing projects and initiatives.

Performance Framework Development: Lead the design and implementation of a scalable and robust performance validation framework. Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies.

Planning and Execution: Collaborate with product owners, developers, and quality assurance teams to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases around applciation performance Ensure the timely execution of automated test scripts and analyze the results to identify defects and areas for improvement. Monitor and report on test coverage, progress, and quality metrics.

Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and timelines. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on the work in hand Collaborate with other engineering managers and leaders to drive process improvements and ensure alignment across teams.

Qualifications

• A Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Computer Science or related field Experience of configuration management tools (GIT), configuration concepts and continuous integration tools (#Jenkins)
• More than 17 years of Software development and/or automated testing experience having more than 5 years of experience in managing a team.
• Has managed a team of 15-20 members in the past and has Effective project & people management skills.
• Have worked in cloud based environment with multi geography settings.
• Hands on performance engineering and validation experience in complex applicaton architectural environment with the ability to define, design and implement robust, scalable, and high quality test suites.
• Sound understanding of Performance center, JMeter amd monitoring tools like Data Dog, Dynatrace etc.
• A passion for high quality, problem solving mindset and a go getter
