So, what’s the role all about?
The Lead Software Engineer designs, develops, tests and maintains the NICE CX software platform. Key responsibilities include all tiers of the NICE CX technology, including (but not limited to) design and development of NICE CX products and features, unit testing, code reviews, resolving defects encountered during the QA cycle, supporting the production environment, and assisting other developers in a team environment utilizing agile development processes. The Lead Software Engineer will also mentor junior staff members and may be asked to propose cross disciplinary architectural solutions to difficult problems.
The Lead Software Engineer plays a critical role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the NICE inContact software platform. This position requires a seasoned professional with a proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and drive innovation across multiple tiers of technology. Senior Engineers are responsible for delivering scalable, high-quality solutions, contributing to architectural decisions, and supporting a dynamic, agile team environment

How will you make an impact?
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex software systems and features.
- Evaluate and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with business goals.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
- Quickly and effectively troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues in production and development environments.
- Understand and apply security best practices in coding and deployment
- Drive innovation by researching, recommending, and integrating new technologies and practices.
- Collaborate with product management, UX, and architects to define deliverables.
- Drive Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and automation improvements.
Have you got what it takes?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience, with a track record of delivering complex software projects.
- Expertise in C#, .NET, Angular, JavaScript, SQL, and related technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of software development best practices, including design patterns, unit testing, and agile methodologies.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of scalable architectures, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, such as leading technical projects and working with Architects.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines a plus
