Cloud System Engineer

So, what’s the role all about?

The Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for managing, deploying, and maintaining NICE's production systems, including virtualization, SAN, public cloud, and other supporting environments. This role also oversees the management and maintenance of lab environments. The candidate would work as a lead on projects that are across multiple groups. 

How will you make an impact?  

• Manages and deploys Windows domains and Active Directory environments.
• Deploys Windows Server 2019 servers.
• Sets up and maintains server system and file security.
• Manages lab and production infrastructure.
• Deploys, configures and maintains physical storage (SAN).
• Monitors and optimizes server performance.
• Manages virtualization environments and maintains documentation of environments and processes.
• Works with vendors for troubleshooting and RMA.
• Deploys and manages Linux servers, public cloud compute, storage, and Enterprise Grade Physical Compute 

Have you got what it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Proficiency in VMware and Public Cloud Environments management.
• MCSA or equivalent Microsoft server certification
• Minimum 2 years managing Server 2012 R2 or Server 2019 environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in deploying Windows domains, Active Directory, and DNS.
• Minimum 2 years managing and deploying virtual environments.
• Minimum 2 years managing and deploying Windows Server 2019.
• Experience installing and configuring physical server hardware and operating systems is essential.
• Strong ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines, with collaborative skills within IT teams, and familiarity with Change Management processes are advantageous.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

• Configure and manage HP or Cisco server hardware
• Hold relevant Systems Engineer certifications like MCSE or Public Cloud.
• Adaptability to evolving timelines and deadlines.
• Efficient navigation within large, global environments.
• Excel in fast-paced production settings.
• Expertise in VMware and AWS environment management, proficient in SAN deployment.
• Skilled in Unix or Linux administration, utilizes Chef for server and application deployment, experienced in configuration management and infrastructure automation.
