Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (f/m/d)

As a member of our QA team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the quality of our products. You'll work with industry-standard tools, build your own test setups, and enhance our automation framework. Ideally, you have experience with telco test equipment and a solid understanding of IMS, LTE networks, and related protocols.

To support our rapid growth, we are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in Hamburg. In this role, you will work with technologies such as 4G, LTE, Transport networking, TCP/UDP, VoIP, and Video/IP protocols across various cloud platforms (Docker/Kubernetes).

• System Testing: You will engage in our system testing activities, planning, performing, and executing tasks using a balanced approach of exploratory, pre-planned, and automated functional, non-functional, and load testing.
• Test Methodology Development: You will play a key role in defining, implementing, and improving test methodologies to ensure comprehensive test coverage across all aspects of our product.
• Manual and Automated Testing: You will conduct both manual and automated testing of our IMS, utilizing real handsets and creating automated test cases with simulation tools.
• Problem Analysis and Debugging: You will analyze and debug issues across multiple complex solutions, ensuring the robustness and reliability of our systems.
• Automated Test Execution: You will write and execute automated tests using our in-house framework and other necessary tools, such as SIPp, IxLoad, and Seagull.
• Quality Assurance: You will be responsible for testing our product and providing the go-ahead for the release of new and existing features, supported by thorough regression testing.
• Framework Development: You will assist in the development and debugging of our Python-based in-house testing framework, contributing to its continuous improvement.
• Process Improvement: You will work to further enhance and adapt our testing processes, concepts, and solutions, driving quality and efficiency in our QA practices.

• Software QA Experience: You have hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance Engineering, proficient in both manual and automated testing.
• Telecommunications Expertise: You bring experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically with signaling standards like SIP and Diameter.
• Familiarity with Communication Protocols: Ideally, you are well-versed in communication protocols such as SIP and Diameter and have experience with cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Industry-Specific Tools: You have experience with industry-specific test environments and tools like SIPp, Seagull, and API testing tools like Postman.
• Test Automation Design: You are passionate about high-level test automation design and implementation, including load testing scenarios, end-to-end testing, and regression.
• Test Environment Setup: You are skilled in setting up and configuring both hardware and software test environments.
• Programming and Scripting: You have experience with programming and scripting, particularly in Python and Bash.

• Agile/Scrum Experience: Working experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Modern Testing Approaches: Familiarity with modern testing methodologies, such as context-driven testing, rapid software testing, and session-based testing.
• Containerization Experience: Experience in developing and deploying software using containers, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
