Job Description:

We are looking for a Firmware Engineer with emphasis on software validation, testing frameworks, and quality processes for embedded systems applied to power electronics. This role will work closely with firmware, hardware, and control teams to ensure robust, reliable, and certifiable software across embedded system applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields.  A master’s degree in the same areas is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in embedded software development, with exposure to software testing and validation in real-time systems.
  • Solid knowledge of embedded systems architecture applied to power electronics systems.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++, including experience with bare-metal and/or RTOS-based systems.
  • Familiarity with ARM-based microcontrollers and hardware-software integration.
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks, static code analysis tools, and software validation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with real-time systems constraints, including interrupt handling, scheduling, and deterministic behavior.
  • Experience with communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, Modbus, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of control systems (discrete controls, filters, transformations).
  • Experience translating algorithms from MATLAB/Simulink into embedded code is a plus.
  • Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and/or SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Git automation and GitHub API integration.
  • Exposure to compliance/certifications with standards is highly desirable.
  • Experience or interest in embedded cybersecurity is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience or interest in building agentic AI systems is a plus.
  • Advanced level English.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to embedded firmware development.
  • Develop and maintain software testing infrastructure, including: unit testing frameworks and static code analysis pipelines.
  • Design and implement automated validation pipelines using: HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop).
  • Support software validation activities.
  • Support software implementation for compliance/certifications with standards.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams (firmware, hardware, controls, systems).
  • Contribute to cybersecurity implementation in embedded firmware.
