Job Description:

The Sr. Engineer, Cloud Information Operations will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. This role will work closely with the IT and development teams to ensure that our cloud services meet the needs of our organization and our clients.

  • Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT security to ensure that all cloud services comply with security policies and regulations.
  • Provide L3 support for cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Optimize cloud services for performance and cost.
  • Lead cloud-related projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with new cloud technologies and trends.
  • Lead the design and architecture of high-availability cloud solutions.
  • Drive cloud strategy and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Mentor junior cloud engineers and serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Manage cloud budgets and forecast cloud expenses.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.

Education Required:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing and infrastructure.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.


License/Certification Required:

  • Certifications in Azure or AWS cloud services a plus.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of: Expertise in cloud security and compliance frameworks. Proficient in advanced cloud services such as machine learning and big data. Strong knowledge of cloud service providers, preferably Azure and AWS. Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is a plus.
  • Skill in: Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive technical discussions. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to: Work independently as well as part of a team. Prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail in a high-pressure environment.
