Project Data Analyst

The Role:

 

We’re looking for a highly organised and analytical Project Data Analyst to join our Finance Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring professional who enjoys working at the intersection of project delivery and data analysis.

 

Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll help keep projects on track by monitoring milestones, coordinating deliverables and identifying potential blockers. You’ll also take ownership of key reporting activities, using Google Sheets to turn data into clear, actionable insights that support effective decision-making.

 

The role will require you to be in the office 5 days a week

 

What You Will Do:

 

• Support the Project Manager with project plans, milestone tracking and progress updates.

 

• Coordinate multiple project deliverables, ensuring documentation is accurate, up to date and deadlines are met.

 

• Identify potential blockers and delivery risks, helping the team address issues early.

 

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by documenting test cases, coordinating feedback and tracking defects through to resolution.

 

• Maintain and improve internal trackers, dashboards and reporting processes.

 

• Analyse data using Google Sheets, creating clear and concise reports that turn complex information into actionable insights.

 

• Provide accurate, data-driven project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

• Act as a bridge between teams, ensuring information is clearly communicated and everyone remains aligned.

 

• Look for opportunities to improve processes, reporting and ways of working.

 

What You Will Bring:

 

• Experience in a project support, operations, data or similar role.

 

• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Query functions and conditional formatting.

 

• An understanding of project management principles, with familiarity with Agile, Scrum or Kanban.

 

• Experience with project management, CRM or workflow tools such as Azure DevOps, Asana or Zendesk.

 

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

• A curious, analytical and proactive approach to problem-solving, with an ability to investigate the why behind project delays or changes in performance.

 

• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with data and project documentation.

 

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain project updates and data insights clearly to a range of audiences.

 

• Experience with Looker Studio, Tableau or other data visualisation tools would be advantageous.
