Web Tech Lead

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dynamic Tech Lead / Manager to join our team in Porto. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team while staying hands-on with the technology stack. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be involved in shaping and building our e-commerce and payment systems, utilizing a variety of modern tools and technologies. You will have the opportunity to integrate and configure solutions like Shopify and Recurly, while also diving into Golang, front-end, and database development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Leadership: Lead a small team of developers, providing mentorship and guidance to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.

• Hands-on Development: Actively contribute to the codebase, including working with JavaScript and React for front-end, SQL for database management, as well as Golang and/or Node.js for backend.

• Tool Integration: Configure and integrate third-party tools such as Shopify, Recurly, and other e-commerce/payment platforms to enhance our product offerings.

• Project Management: Oversee the development lifecycle, from requirement gathering and design to implementation and deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical skills & qualifications 

• 3-5 years of management experience leading software development teams.

• Proven hands-on experience with Golang (expert-level knowledge not required but familiarity is essential).

• Strong front-end development skills with JavaScript and React.

• Proficiency in SQL and database management.

• Familiarity with integrating and configuring e-commerce platforms like Shopify and subscription management tools like Recurly.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to guide the team through complex technical challenges.

• A passion for being a hands-on manager who can balance both leadership and development tasks.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders.
