Project Manager - Revenue Cycle Advisory

Serves as a trusted project manager and advisor for enterprise-wide revenue cycle operations and financial performance improvement initiatives. Leads multiple project teams and/or large-scale value, client-focused efforts to identify, design, and implement opportunities to optimize processes that drive accurate and timely payment and reduce adverse financial outcomes. Collaborates with Revenue Cycle and Finance leaders to institute a sustainable performance improvement mindset through signature practice recommendations, technology enhancements, and people development. Promote effective and efficient operations using defined measures for all components of revenue cycle operations (e.g. – Patient Access, Health Information Management, Patient Financial Services). Establish policies and procedures and ensure standards of practice are consistent with regulatory agencies. Define and develop enterprise-wide revenue cycle learning & education. Execute advanced project architecture and management design, implementation, and evaluation including, governance and work plan design, facilitation, status reporting, complex analyses of value propositions and opportunities, reporting and measurement, and policy and procedure design and development.

Preferred Criteria

  • MBA, MHA degree or equivalent experience

  • Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or other programming languages

  • Basic proficiency with hospital registration and billing system

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5 - 7 years including 1 - 2 years of related healthcare, consulting, or project management experience

  • Advanced to expert Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet and data analytics skills. Advanced technical and practical use of other Microsoft applications

  • Advanced to expert proficiency in project architecture and management with demonstrated success in project assessment and implementation across a portfolio of concurrently executed initiatives.

  • Demonstrated leadership of project teams

  • Demonstrated abilities around change management and stakeholder influence

  • Strong professional presentation and communication skills – verbal and written

  • Knowledge of revenue cycle processes, functions, and concepts
