Project Manager – Quality & Patient Safety

In this impactful role, you will serve as a trusted partner to the Senior Director of Quality & Patient Safety Enterprise Strategy and Integration in coordinating all project activities from concept through implementation, ensuring successful execution, measurable outcomes, and organizational alignment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for complex initiatives across Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention & Control (IPC), Transplant, Regulatory Affairs, and other Quality & Patient Safety (QPS) functions.
  • Develop and manage project charters, clearly defining objectives, scope, timelines, deliverables, success metrics, and stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Create monitoring tools and performance measures to evaluate project outcomes, identify root causes of challenges, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitate project workgroup meetings, drive accountability for deliverables, manage action items, identify risks and opportunities, and coordinate resources to support project success.
  • Develop executive-level presentations for report outs, including relevant visual and written materials for senior leadership and the Board of Trustees.
  • Provide ongoing project updates and strategic recommendations to senior leaders, securing key decisions, guidance, and organizational support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate across departments and with organizational leaders to advance Quality & Patient Safety priorities and enterprise goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities, leveraging data analysis, best practices, and cross-functional partnerships with internal business partners to drive sustainable results.
  • Analyze workflows and operational processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and overall performance.
  • Develop and execute innovative solutions informed by data, performance metrics, and industry best practices.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned.

This is a full-time, day-shift position based at our Corporate office in Midtown Manhattan with possible travel to any of our NYP sites.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master's Degree

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Six Sigma, or related certification

  • 1–2 years of healthcare industry experience, preferably in a clinical setting

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5–7 years of project management, quality improvement, healthcare operations, or related experience

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and driving process improvement initiatives

$97,000-$145,000/Annual
