The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design, development, and validation of power and signal harness systems, ensuring compliance with automotive and military-grade standards. The role involves working across system architecture, schematic design, 2D/3D harness layout, and physical implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead design and development of power and signal wiring harnesses for EV and automotive platforms
    • Define and develop electrical architecture for vehicle-level systems including HV/LV distribution
    • Design harness systems covering:
    • High-voltage and low-voltage power distribution
    • Signal wiring (analog, discrete, and digital signals)
    • Communication networks such as CAN, LIN, and other data buses
    • Selection of appropriate connectors, terminals, seals, and routing strategies based on application requirements
    • Design and integration of DC-DC converters, PDUs, and battery interface systems
    • Develop harness documentation including:
    • Schematics
    • Wiring diagrams
    • 2D harness drawings and 3D layout integration
    • Ensure compliance with automotive and military wiring standards (e.g., environmental, EMI/EMC, vibration, durability)
    • Support prototype builds, installation, and validation testing of harness systems
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and validation)
    • Support DFMEA, design reviews, and design verification activities
    • Ensure manufacturability and assembly feasibility of harness designs

Required Skills & Expertise:
    • Strong experience in wiring harness design for EV or automotive systems
    • Good understanding of:
    • High-voltage safety and isolation requirements
    • Low-voltage signal integrity
    • Power distribution architecture
    • Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.)
    • Knowledge of connector technologies (TE Connectivity, Amphenol, Deutsch, etc. or equivalent)
    • Experience in harness routing, packaging, and layout optimization
    • Familiarity with DC-DC converters, PDUs, and battery systems integration
    • Understanding of military or defense-grade wiring standards is a strong advantage
    • Proficiency in harness design tools (e.g., CATIA Electrical, Capital Harness, or similar tools preferred)

Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering or related field
    • 3–8+ years of experience in automotive or EV wiring harness design
    • Prior experience in OEM, Tier-1 supplier, EV startups, or defense vehicle programs preferred

Preferred Competencies:
    • Strong understanding of system-level vehicle electrical architecture
    • Experience across full lifecycle: architecture → schematic → 2D/3D design → prototyping → production
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in fast-paced product development environments
    • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Work Scope Exposure:
    • EV platforms (commercial EV systems)
    • Hybrid and high-voltage vehicle systems
    • Military / off-road / ruggedized vehicle electrical systems
