Who we are:

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a mid level Hardware Designer to join our dynamic team and work on our cutting edge drone and robotic platforms. The ideal candidate will be a passionate engineer who can individually contribute to the design, implementation and testing of complex hardware electronic systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design and develop hardware products, including circuit boards, components, and systems, while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Generate and maintain hardware design, testing, and quality control documentation.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and product validation activities to ensure compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, development and customer support, to provide feedback and input on product design, performance optimisation, and manufacturability.
Mentor junior team members and provide them with reviews/ inputs/ support

Must have skills:

Strong knowledge of hardware design principles, testing tools, equipment, and techniques.
Strong basics in electronics, analog/ digital circuits and high speed signal concepts
Experience in designing high speed processor/ FPGA based circuits with providing guidelines and reviewing PCB Layout
Experience with the complete Circuit Design/ PCB Layout/ Manufacturing and Testing cycle
Well versed in any of the industrial standard ECAD tools like Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, Altium, Expedition etc
Experience in board bring up, validation and usage of electronic lab tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and precision.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Good Communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent Problem Solving and analytical skills
Ability to work in challenging environment to deliver high quality results

Good to have skills:

Basic understanding of system software and firmware
Experience in designing FPGA based hardware and testing integration of the same
Working knowledge on HDL coding
Experience with RF/ Radio based designs
Experience in MIL/Aerospace designs and their compliance testing
Experience in Altium Designer Tool

Basic Requirement (education & relevant experience):

B.E /M.E in Electronics/ Electrical
4 to 10 Years in Engineering, R&D Departments of relevant organizations
