Engineer II - Electrical Power Systems

Who we are:

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Developing Electronic Hardware Schematics for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle’s (UAV) Electrical Power System (EPS).
  • Developing Hardware for Power Electronic Converters (DC-DC Converters).
  • Developing Hardware for Battery Management Systems (BMS)
  • Implementation of EMI/EMC compliant designs.
  • Component level calculation for Power Electronic Converter subsystems like Sensing and Signal Conditioning, Power Switch selection, Reactive components design calculations etc.
  • Simulation & testing, HIL, Board bringup.
  • Identifying vendors for sourcing certain Electronic components.
  • Prepare associated documentation like BOM, Thermal data docs for company records and design review.
  • Performing FMECA.


Must have skills:

  • Good knowledge of EMI/EMC compliant design.
  • Good knowledge of performance and reliability factors of various electronic components.
  • Good knowledge of Electronic Schematics and Electrical power systems.
  • Basic knowledge of multi layer PCB Design.
  • Knowledge of behavior of Solar PV.
  • Knowledge of behavior of Battery Packs.
  • MATLAB/Simulink
  • ANSYS
  • PSIM, LTSPICE, TINA, Multisim etc.
  • Eagle/Altium/Orcad


Good to have skills:

  • Exposure to standards such as DO-160, DO-254
  • Experience in the Aerospace, EV or Automotive fields is highly preferred.


Basic Requirement (education & relevant experience):

  • Masters(Electrical/Electronics Engineering) with 3 Years experience or Bachelors (Electrical/Electronics Engineering) with 4 years experience.
  • Experience should be in various kinds of circuits targeted for Battery operated, Automotive, & consumer applications.
