Netwitness Software Sr Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our Endpoint Solution team. As a Senior Software Engineer, the person will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of the endpoint solution and how it is integrated to achieve the goals of the organization in building a solution that protects the global leaders that use our product.

Key Responsibilities:
- Technical leadership: Provide technical leadership and help implement the vision that exists for the team to excel. Influence and drive the leaders in choosing the best architecture or implementation to achieve the company goals.
- Domain Expertise: Provide guidance to Product Management and other leaders on what other considerations should be kept in mind while gathering customer requirements. This implies a good understanding of the domain as well as the product architecture.
- Delivering Results: Analyze business goals and product requirements and contribute to application architecture design, development, and delivery. Accurately estimating and delivering customer value in the shortest possible time.
- Mentorship and Development: Mentor and coach junior engineers within the team helping them grow their technical skills in product development, design, or code review. Conducting knowledge-sharing sessions and best practices.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely in a highly agile environment (wear multiple hats) with a team of software engineers and other stakeholders in order to align with the company needs.
- Supporting other non-technical needs: Support org initiatives above and beyond the tech duties like hiring and mentoring.

Essential Requirements
- 6-9 years of relevant Software Development Experience in Java / Spring / Springboot, preferably in enterprise product development role
- Ability to code/debug moderately sophisticated programs using design specifications
- Knowledge of software architectures and applications, good understanding of Object Oriented concepts.
- Mentor junior engineers and perform code, design, and unit test review.
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
- Hands on experience with MongoDB, Rest API, Data Structures, design patterns, microservices
- Strong Debugging, problem solving and RCA skills.
- Ability to learn new tools, languages, and security domain on-the-job.
- Software Development Experience in Security domain / products, a big PLUS
- Good team player.

Desirable Requirements
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Jenkins, Dockers, Chef or equivalent is good to have.
- Exposure to Agile development. Able to break broad Epics into predictable User Stories in a team setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
