Job Overview:

We are looking for a full-time Senior Game Programmer to join our group of game industry veterans. In this role, you will have opportunities for learning and growth, and become a valuable addition to the team.

You will collaborate with the Lead Game Programmer in planning and integrating complex game features with high quality, stable code. You will contribute to the continuous development efforts within the development team to maintain a quality-first mindset, and have experience from game performance and optimization. You will support the creation of strong relationships between our team and people outside our organization. Ideally, you will have experience from the start of development, into release and operating through live development. 

We expect honest and open communication regarding teamwork and the game. The position and responsibilities will evolve, affecting the scope and impact within the team.

Things we highly value:

• You have several years of experience working in game engineering or relevant roles

• Knowledge of integrating gameplay features, logic and systems

• Experience in graphics engineering and working with user interfaces for gaming experiences

• Ability to take ownership of features and tasks

• Provide input and work on technical quality, performance and optimization

• Excellent knowledge and experience working with the Unity game engine and Unity UI (uGUI)

• Experience working with 3rd party libraries and services with the Unity game engine

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Things we find helpful:

• Knowledge on HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Understanding of mobile software platforms (iOS, Android)

• Experience in professional, team-based software development with shipped product(s) and having worked on a live product

• Understanding the bug life cycle

• Ability to solve problems and adopt new technologies or tech stacks if needed

• Collaborate with others on game ideas, design, game play, and features

• Honest and open communication

• Experience in working on console games and gamepad controls
