The Role
The newly formed Account Lifecycle Privacy team has been tasked with building gold-standard account management controls and support for current, prospective, and future Netflix subscribers.
The team is composed of cross-disciplined engineers, with some open roles to hire. They partner with cross-functional leaders in product, design, data, and others to build experiences and products that enable strategy across ads, account lifecycle, onboarding, and help/support. This is a focus area for Netflix, with high growth potential as we scale our business.
We’re seeking an experienced engineering leader, with a passion for servant leadership and operational excellence to support our thriving engineers.

A successful manager in this role will demonstrate excellence in the following areas:
Organizational complexity - balance the multidimensional business model the team supports
People leadership - strong interpersonal skills and empathy for their team, ability to hire, retain, and coach a high-performing, cross-disciplined team
Leading at scale - with 300 million subscribers and counting, the role needs someone experienced in scaled distributed architecture
Internal partnership - a strong connection to other product, design and engineering leaders
Technical project management - leading large cross-functional teams on complex projects
Technical acumen - ability to think critically and design systems keeping in mind the needs of tomorrow
Required Experience:
Previous leadership experience, minimum of 3 years as a people manager
Experience managing cross-disciplined teams (ie teams comprised of frontend, backend/full stack engineers and SDETs)
High EQ (Emotional Quotient) - the ability to direct their own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict
Stakeholder management - balancing the needs of payments product and partner product teams against capacity and priority constraints
A/B test-driven product development - a background in having built products that iterate based on A/B test hypotheses and results
Technical project management - the ability to deliver complex projects across different client platforms and various layers of our technology stack
Operational excellence - the ability to build and maintain products through the full product lifecycle, including establishing and sustaining strong reliability and observability
It would be great if you also have:
Direct experience operating in the privacy, security and account lifecycle management domains
Experience building teams from the ground up
