Principal Engineer - Application Management

We are seeking an IT Operations Management administrator/ Developer to join our team at Marsh McLennan. As an ITOM admin at Marsh McLennan, you will be responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining the integrations and applications within ITOM that enhance our IT infrastructure, operations and services both on-prem & in the cloud. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and improve user experience.

What can you expect?

• Build and customize solutions across ITSM, ITOM, Security Incident Response, Software asset Management, and Hardware Asset Management

• Configure and customize the ITOM suite, including Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, and CSDM
• Develop and configure workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and integrations

• Ensure high-quality coding standards, maintainability, and compliance with best practices.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues as reported by customers or automated alerts
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, senior developers, and architects to refine technical approaches and system architecture to ensure successful delivery of solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for ITOM solutions implemented.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ITOM processes and systems.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and technical workshops.
• Help define best practices for module development in a high-compliance regulated setting

What you need to have: .

• 3 years of experience as a Developer , including hands-on module development and scripting, with a focus on ITOM solutions for Cloud (AWS/Azure/GSC) and On-Premise
• Strong knowledge and experience with Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, ITSM, and CSDM
• Experience with ITIL practices and frameworks
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide, and related development tools.
• including hands-on module development and scripting
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a strong growth mindset

What makes you stand out:

• certifications (CSA, CIS-Discovery, CIS-Service Mapping, etc.) are a plus.
• Application Portfolio Management (APM) experience
• Experience working in or with regulated industries such as insurance, healthcare, or finance
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices within environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building scalable enterprise solutions.
• Experience with writing and executing tests with the Automated Test Framework
