Tech Lead Role

We're thrilled to announce that we've recently closed a major deal with over 300 customers, marking a significant milestone for our startup. As we continue to grow and scale, we're seeking a passionate Tech Lead (Data) who is eager to lead the next phase of our product's evolution, both with our new conglomerate partner and our independent customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize established expertise to develop high-performance, scalable data storage solutions.
  • Engineer, deploy, and manage efficient and reliable data pipelines for transferring and transforming both large and small datasets.
  • Strategically design data architectures for efficient data storage and fast retrieval.
  • Implement comprehensive data quality checks to maintain superior data standards.
  • Continuously improve and oversee all domain-specific data pipelines.
  • Assume full responsibility for the data engineering aspects of projects.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement systems that streamline data accessibility.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of data engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in programming with Python or another modern language.
  • At least 5 years’ expertise with SQL and managing relational databases.
  • Over 5 years’ experience in the design, setup, and maintenance of ETL processes.
  • 3+ years of proficiency with workflow management tools such as Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Data Modeling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
  • Proven track record with data integrity and validation.
  • Advanced skills in SQL optimization and process enhancement.
  • Ability to identify and rectify data anomalies and outliers.
  • Familiarity with notebook-based Data Science methodologies.
  • Expertise in using dbt cloud for data build tooling.
  • Experience with Fivetran.
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience with MongoDB.
