Senior QA Automation Engineer

Department: Roller Gaming

Location: All Cities

Employment Type: FullTime

For one of our client, we are looking for a for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join their Lottery Management Services team.

In this role, you'll help ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of applications that power lottery operations for their customers around the world. Working alongside Software Engineers, Product Owners, DevOps Engineers, Architects, and fellow QA professionals, you'll design and maintain robust automated test solutions, expand UI and API coverage, investigate failures, and continuously improve automation architecture and quality engineering practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to define automation scope and test coverage

  • Design, build, refactor, and maintain scalable Java-based automation frameworks for UI and API testing

  • Develop reliable automated tests using Selenide or Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Maven, and reusable design patterns

  • Implement API automation for REST services using RestAssured or equivalent libraries and supporting tools such as Postman

  • Create and maintain end-to-end automated coverage for complex business workflows and integrations

  • Integrate automated tests into Jenkins and Git-based CI/CD pipelines and improve the speed and quality of test feedback

  • Analyze automated test failures, identify root causes, and improve synchronization, diagnostics, logging, and reporting

  • Review automation code, promote maintainable engineering practices, and support framework modernization

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps, Architects, and QA colleagues to build quality into delivery

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, estimation, and retrospectives

  • Provide clear and timely updates on automation progress, product risks, test results, and quality metrics

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5+ years of professional software quality assurance experience, with substantial hands-on test automation responsibility

  • Strong Java programming skills and experience designing, extending, or significantly improving test automation frameworks

  • Strong UI automation experience with Selenide or Selenium WebDriver

  • Strong API testing and API automation experience with REST services and RestAssured or an equivalent solution

  • Hands-on experience with TestNG, Maven, Git, and Jenkins or a comparable CI/CD platform

  • Practical understanding of reusable components, layered test architecture, Page Object patterns, and test orchestration

  • Experience diagnosing automated test failures across application and integration layers

  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to planning, refinement, and technical discussions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with automation of mobile app projects.

  • Experience with mobile testing, image recognition, OCR, or HTML5 Canvas-based application automation

  • Experience with Playwright or Python-based automation

  • Experience with observability and reporting tools such as Grafana, Kibana, InfluxDB, or Splunk

  • Experience with test management and collaboration tools such as QMetry, Jira, and Confluence

  • Knowledge of MongoDB, MySQL, or other relational or NoSQL databases

  • Experience mentoring colleagues, reviewing automation code, or supporting framework modernization

  • Experience in regulated or high-transaction industries such as gaming, lottery, financial services, or e-commerce
