We invite you to join our Data & AI team as a Data Science Intern, where you will get a chance to collaborate with seasoned professionals and gain insights into real-world data science problems.

 

As a Data Science Intern, you will work under the guidance of our data science team, assisting them in identifying business challenges and opportunities. You'll get to work with complex datasets, helping in extracting preliminary insights, and learning the ropes of developing data-driven solutions. Your budding skills in data analysis, statistics, and machine learning will play a key role as you embark on this journey with us.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with ongoing data science projects, including data preparation, analysis, and solution deployment.
• Collaborate with data scientists to identify business challenges and extract insights from complex datasets.
• Participate in team meetings, present initial findings, and document processes and learnings.
• Contribute to applying machine learning/statistical techniques under team guidance.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Python or R and basic data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
• Strong interest in machine learning, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Exposure to SQL/noSQL databases, AWS tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, DOMO).

• Basic understanding of production code practices (unit testing, version control) and Agile methodologies.
• Willingness to work onsite at our headquarters in Wilmington, North Carolina or Lehi, Utah while demonstrating adaptability to a fast-paced, in-person work environment.
• Full time availability in Wilmington from May 27th, 2025 – August 15, 2025
• OR Full time availability in Lehi from May 5, 2025 - August 1, 2025

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The recruiter for this job posting can share more compensation details during the recruitment process, as base salary is only one component of the total compensation package per position posted.

The base salary range for this job is:

$22.50 - $27.00
