Lead Innovation in Tissue-Agnostic MRD Solutions

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director / Director of Product Management, Oncology to lead the development, commercialization, and product strategy for Natera’s tissue-agnostic MRD solutions. In this highly strategic and execution-oriented role, you will collaborate across teams to drive successful product launches, clinical validation, and reimbursement plans for our oncology product portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management consulting and product management within the life sciences industry. You will combine your understanding of core technologies, customer insights, and market dynamics to shape the strategic roadmap and execute product development plans that deliver outstanding value to our customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Roadmap Development: Create and execute the product roadmap for tissue-agnostic MRD products in collaboration with the Signatera MRD business.
  • Target Product Profiles: Develop and refine target product profiles and deliver product requirements based on deep customer insights, market research, and operational needs.
  • Voice of Customer (VOC): Conduct VOC interviews, competitive analysis, and market research to identify product features and strategies that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Business Case Development: Identify business opportunities, build business cases, and create financial models to support product initiatives.
  • Clinical Validation: Collaborate with medical and regulatory teams to drive long-term clinical validation studies across high-priority indications, enabling reimbursement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Product Management, R&D, Software Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Clinical/Medical, Operations, Regulatory, and Business Development to ensure seamless product development and launches.
  • Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing to define product positioning, develop go-to-market strategies, set pricing, and create key marketing collateral.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present data-driven strategies to gain alignment and buy-in from senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization to obsolescence, ensuring continuous improvement in product performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required in physical/life sciences, statistics, or engineering. A Master’s or PhD is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience, with at least 5 years in product management, product marketing, commercialization, or strategic consulting.
  • Oncology Expertise: Experience with oncology products, medical devices, or diagnostics. Familiarity with large-scale molecular testing labs is highly desirable.
  • Life Sciences Industry Knowledge: Expertise in the life sciences industry, particularly in oncology or diagnostics, is preferred.

  • Technical Understanding: Strong understanding of core technologies with the ability to articulate clear customer value propositions.

  • Financial Modeling: Basic financial and economic modeling skills are a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence decision-making in a team environment.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
