As a Senior Software Engineer reporting to VP, Software Engineering, you'll play a critical role in designing and delivering scalable software solutions that power Nasdaq's technology platforms. You'll work on high-impact projects that enhance client experiences and drive innovation across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement full-stack solutions for web applications, ensuring compatibility across platforms and browsers.
• Build and maintain front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, with a focus on performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that support scalability and efficiency.
• Mentor team members on best practices, system improvements, and emerging technology trends.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of full-stack development experience with strong expertise in front-end technologies.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and Java (Java 8+ preferred).
• Experience with RESTful web services, SQL and NoSQL databases, and modern build tools (Git, Maven).
• Strong communicator who works well in collaborative, Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Spring framework, Node.js, and automated testing tools (JUnit, Karma, Jasmine).
• Background in financial services, fintech, or capital markets technology.

This position will be located in Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $104,000 - $148,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
