Job Description

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Specialist, Product Management to join our team, reporting to the AVP, Product Management. In this role, you'll help identify and validate new business opportunities across Nasdaq's fintech division by combining customer discovery, market research, and rapid experimentation.

You'll work closely with a small, entrepreneurial team to explore potential applications of Nasdaq's Intelligence Platform, engaging directly with customers and building lightweight prototypes to test ideas. The ideal candidate enjoys solving ambiguous problems, learning from customer feedback, and using evidence to help shape product direction.

This is a highly hands-on role where curiosity, creativity, and a bias toward action are valued just as much as product management expertise.

 What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the team to identify and evaluate potential opportunities leveraging the Intelligence Platform, customer insights, market trends, and internal business opportunities across Nasdaq.

  • Conduct customer and prospect conversations to understand pain points, workflows, and unmet needs.

  • Translate customer feedback into hypotheses and experiments that help validate product and market opportunities.

  • Develop lightweight prototypes and proof-of-concepts using modern AI-assisted development tools to support discovery and validation efforts.

  • Participate in customer demonstrations and feedback sessions to test concepts and gather insights.

  • Define success metrics for experiments and analyze results to inform future product decisions.

  • Contribute to pricing, packaging, and go-to-market recommendations for validated opportunities.

  • Document findings, learnings, recommendations, roadmap decisions, and customer insights to support product and business decision-making.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate validated concepts into scalable solutions.

  • Partner with Product Software & Engineering (PS&E), pre-sales, and client stakeholders to support roadmap planning, solution positioning, and the successful delivery of platform capabilities.

 What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in product management, product strategy, innovation, or a related discipline within fintech, capital markets, enterprise software, data products, or a similar industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to assess market opportunities and translate customer needs into product concepts.

  • Strong customer discovery and communication skills, with the ability to conduct effective interviews and synthesize insights.

  • Experience working in ambiguous environments and bringing structure to complex problems.

  • Familiarity with prototyping, experimentation, and validating product concepts through customer feedback.

  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and evidence to support decisions.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Experience communicating product strategy and recommendations through business cases, roadmap discussions, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

Nice to Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Product Management, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in product management, innovation, strategy, fintech, or technology.

  • Experience working with data platforms, AI-enabled products, market intelligence, or capital markets technology.

  • Basic coding or prototyping experience using modern development tools and frameworks.

This position will be located in Philadelphia or Denver, and offers a hybrid work environment (minimum three days per week inoffice), subject to change.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; Nasdaq will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)
