Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and collaborative Platform Engineer to help shape the foundations of our engineering ecosystem. In this role, you will work side-by-side with product engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and developer-friendly platform components that accelerate delivery across the organization.

As part of our platform group, you’ll design and automate cloud infrastructure, embed modern software delivery practices, and create “golden paths” that simplify how teams build, deploy, and operate services. You will play a critical role in improving reliability, security, and developer experience—while supporting a culture grounded in eXtreme Programming (XP), TDD, trunk-based development, DevSecOps, and cloud-native architecture.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will influence architectural decisions, standardize secure delivery workflows, and make it easier for teams to ship high-quality software quickly and safely.

Your focus:

• Collaborate with product engineering teams practicing eXtreme Programming (XP), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and trunk-based development.

• Build reusable “golden paths” and internal platform components that embed secure, scalable, and compliant development workflows.

• Develop platform components using Go, Python, or similar languages to elevate the developer experience.

• Embed infrastructure as code and CI/CD best practices to support rapid, secure, and scalable deployments.

• Support secure infrastructure design following Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, CIS Benchmarks, and Well-Architected principles.

• Reduce cognitive load for product teams by offering standardized, pre-approved deployment and security tooling.

• Collaborate on incident response and ensure reliability and observability are designed from day one.

Required skills & qualifications: 

• 3+ years of experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

• Hands-on cloud engineering experience, ideally with Azure (experience with AWS is a plus).

• Proficient in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, zero-downtime and progressive deployments.

• Strong knowledge of cloud security and Identity & Access Management (IAM).

• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (K8s), AKS, and Docker.

• Experience with microservices architecture, REST APIs, and API Gateway design.

• Background in DevSecOps, SRE, or Software Engineering.

• Mastery of Agile methodologies, TDD, trunk-based development, code reviews, and collaborative coding practices.
