Platform Engineer

Location: Bratislava Office, Helsinki Office

Time Type: Full time

Job Description

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to help advance the capabilities, reliability, and usability of our internal engineering platform. In this role, you will work closely with product engineering teams to improve the way software is built, deployed, and operated across the organization.

You will contribute to the development of scalable platform services, infrastructure automation, and modern deployment practices that enable teams to deliver high-quality software more efficiently and securely.

At Multitude, our product engineering teams operate with a “you build it, you run it” mindset. The Platform Engineering team plays a critical role in supporting that model by providing shared tooling, reusable platform capabilities, and engineering standards that reduce complexity and improve consistency across teams.

Your Mission

As part of the Platform Engineering team, you will partner with product engineers to strengthen developer experience and improve the underlying platform that supports software delivery. You will help build and evolve reusable solutions, operational guardrails, and standardized engineering workflows that make secure and reliable delivery easier by default.

This role is well suited for an engineer who has hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD, and who is looking to continue growing in platform engineering within a collaborative, product-focused environment.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of internal platform capabilities used by engineering teams

  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code, automation tooling, and deployment workflows

  • Help improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes to support reliable, efficient software delivery

  • Partner with product teams to improve developer experience and reduce operational friction

  • Support platform reliability, scalability, and security through practical engineering solutions

  • Contribute to reusable golden paths, standards, and documentation that guide teams toward best practices

  • Work with modern software engineering practices, including trunk-based development, automated testing, and collaborative delivery models

Our Values

We value collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared platform ownership. We approach platform engineering with a product mindset, recognizing that the internal developer platform is a critical enabler of engineering effectiveness.

Our goal is to create a secure, scalable, and intuitive development environment that helps teams move quickly with confidence. We work closely across disciplines, prioritize practical solutions, and focus on delivering tools and services that make a meaningful difference for engineers.

What We Are Looking For

  • Approximately 2+ of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

  • Practical experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation

  • Understanding of modern deployment approaches such as immutable infrastructure, zero-downtime deployments, and progressive delivery

  • Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs, and API gateway concepts

  • Working knowledge of security-minded engineering practices, including IAM, secure CI/CD, and cloud security fundamentals

  • Understanding and experience working in Agile engineering environments with practices such as code reviews, pairing, and iterative delivery

  • Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine interest in improving developer experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience building platform tooling, services, or automation using languages such as Go or Python

  • Exposure to security and cloud governance frameworks such as Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, CIS Benchmarks, AWS Well-Architected, or GCP Security Foundations

  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and trunk-based development

  • Experience contributing to shared platform services in fast-paced product organizations

Technologies

  • Cloud: Azure, Azure Stack, Azure AD

  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible

  • Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Ignite, Elasticsearch, MongoDB

  • Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ

  • Containers: Kubernetes, AKS, Docker

The starting salary for this position is €3,000 gross per month.

We offer:

  • A Truly Global Workplace – work with professionals from 40+ nationalities, bringing diverse expertise, perspectives, and a collaborative international culture.

  • Hybrid & Flexible Work – we support work-life balance with remote work options and modern office spaces across Europe.

  • A Culture of Growth – we invest in your future, offering LinkedIn Learning, mentorship, and professional development programmes, including HiPo and leadership development initiatives to support career advancement.

  • Financial Growth Opportunities – benefit from our share purchase matching programme, allowing you to invest in your future with matched contributions and long-term financial rewards.

  • Workation Programme – work remotely from different countries for up to 2 months per year, experiencing new cultures while staying connected and productive.
