We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of Application Manager who can oversee and lead the team within Information Technology Department under Asian Systems Office.

The successful candidate will be part of a growing dynamic regional team that in charge of Cross Border Payments System. This is a critical system that processes all the international payments and domestic SWIFT based RTGS payments received from our corporate customers in this region.  You will be expected to play an important role in ensuring good quality, timely delivery of the system solutions. You will need hands-on experience in this domain.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the business stakeholders to facilitate standardization of requirements to align with the application functions and minimize any customizations.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the cross-border payments domain and the application capabilities to facilitate solutioning of the end-to-end payment flow.
  • Influence the business users to rationalize business requirements to minimize any customizations.
  • Control the risks/issues related to the requirements and scope creep
  • Play the lead role during incidents to look at service restoration and remediation activities working closely with the global application team to ensure all payments are recovered and processed within the stipulated SLA’s
  • Oversee the outstanding defects/change requests, prioritize with business units and plan for the fix or implementation
  • Ensure the application availability to process payments without disruption from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Liaise with the different technology teams on the application and infrastructure side to ensure all interfaces to internal and external systems are functioning without disruption
  • Maintain up to date knowledge based or documents related to application features and processes (subject matter expertise)

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 Years of experience in technology (applications domain) specializing in implementation of cross-border payment systems.
  • Experience in implementations in this domain to understand systems integration from payment system to channels, SWIFT, core banking systems, FX and AML systems.
  • Experience in end-to-end payment cross-border processing and the architecture of systems from payment origination to processing and settlement in an straight-through processing environment.
  • Should have practical experience in working with the business to streamline requirements and processes for cross-border payments processing
  • Excellent Knowledge of ISO20022 payment standard and SWIFT messages
  • Familiarity with the regulatory considerations in the countries in APAC region for payments is essential.
  • Experience with Global PayPlus product from FINASTRA would be an advantage
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and possess drive, and ability to work independently and a good team player
  • Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and exposure to Agile methodology
  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
