Position details

This is a Security Engineering role supporting the Asia Region in implementing and maintaining controls to protect the Organization against risks associated with Technology Threats from both Internal and External.

Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to be a Subject Matter Expert in both functional and technical aspect of the Security Domain as indicated below,

  • Identify appropriate security solutions based on potential cyber threats in the threat landscape such as advanced malware threats, data exfiltration, vulnerability exploits, network intrusion denial of service and other forms of cyber threats. 
  • Lead or assist in the technical design and engineering of new security systems for implementation into the IT infrastructure to enhance security operations in terms of scope, coverage and operational effectiveness.
  • Manage projects to deliver new cyber security capabilities that meets the bank’s business and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Perform security policy management to continuously monitor and enhance technical rules, policies and configuration in security systems to enhance security protection and coverage of operational end-to-end processes.
  • Possess good understanding of IT infrastructure, perimeter devices, network, applications, software, servers and database, together with working knowledge of IT operational processes and procedures.
  • Possess administrative knowledge to facilitate system monitoring for security systems to ensure scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting with other IT infrastructure tools and provide technical support for the security operations.
  • Assist in extending the implementation of security systems to form a regional coverage in Asia to include branch specific infrastructure and systems.
  • Assist in establishing a mature security operationalization model in Asia to enhance existing security administration workflows, integration with other security systems and implement automation of security processes.
  • Ensure consistent level of security policy management and system monitoring for regional security systems to provide adequate security protection and coverage.
  • Assist in defining the regional security administration model across Asia to determine the cooperative roles and responsibilities for administration of security systems.
  • Assist as a subject matter expert for all cyber security matters.

Customer

  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues in the global cyber security teams in the regional offices of Japan, Europe, America, China and other offices to share knowledge, support regional/global initiatives and best practices on cyber security.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues in the Asian Branches to play a regional role to support regional cyber security improvement plans to ensure a consistent level of maturity in technology and processes across the region.

People

  • Support, coach and guide less experienced members of the team. 

Job Requirements:

  • Security product certification in cyber security domains is highly preferable 
  • Experienced with one or more security systems such as Internet web and email security gateways, web isolation technology, advance threat prevention, endpoint detection and response, data loss prevention, threat intelligence platforms, enterprise vulnerability management, secure baseline configuration or SIEM solutions are required. 
  • Experienced in managing project activities such as procurement, project tracking and management updates. 
  • Security information and event management knowledge is highly advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with regional offices and branch offices.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence heads of department, technical managers and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry trends, security products and technology. 

Education level: 

Bachelor degree in Computing or relevant field

Experience: 

Desirable to have at least 10+ years of relevant experience
