    • Cloud & Platform Evolution: Oversee the migration, scaling, and cost optimization of high-availability cloud-native solutions.
    • Technical Governance: Establish design systems, guardrails, and quality frameworks to evaluate solution designs, identify capability gaps, and manage architectural risks.
  • Engineering & Operational Excellence
    • Developer Velocity: Champion Agentic Engineering, infrastructure improvements and developer tools that eliminate engineering friction, fostering “speed as a habit” across global teams.
    • Resiliency & Scalability: Ensure zero-downtime, sub-second latency, and robust disaster recovery capabilities for critical products.
    • Data Privacy & Compliance: Work closely with security teams to ensure systems are fully compliant with global regulations and data privacy laws.
  • Leadership & Talent Management
    • Talent Stewardship: Act as a primary mentor and coach for the organization’s highest technical talent, including Distinguished Engineers, Principal Engineers, and Enterprise Architects.
    • Boundaryless Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional executive stakeholders—including Product Management, Experience Design (XD), and Data Science—to align technology investments with business growth targets.
    • M&A Integration: Drive technical due diligence and lead the architectural integration of acquired platforms and third-party independent software vendor (ISV) ecosystems into MSCI Product lines.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

    • Experience: 15+ years of software product development experience with a strong track record of delivering enterprise-grade platforms at scale.
    • Leadership: 3–5+ years in an executive-level leadership role managing and coaching globally distributed engineering and architecture teams.
    • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise across the entire full-stack software development lifecycle—specifically cloud infrastructure, distributed data stores, transactional APIs, financial security compliance, and AI/ML data frameworks.
    • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field (an MBA or relevant advanced engineering degree is highly preferred).
    • Domain Expertise: Knowledge of Financial Services is preferred.
