Job Description

Role Overview

Software Engineer Level 1 is an entry-level engineering role focused on building, testing, and maintaining application components under guidance. The role requires strong coding fundamentals, logical thinking, and willingness to learn new technologies, including AI-enabled development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain application features using .NET Core and Angular or assigned tech stack.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code following engineering best practices.

  • Debug, test, and fix defects with attention to quality and performance.

  • Participate in requirement discussions, sprint ceremonies, and Agile workflows.

  • Collaborate with peers, leads, QA, and cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Document code, APIs, and module-level design details.

  • Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) responsibly to improve productivity.

  • Continuously learn and apply new technologies, frameworks, and standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong fundamentals in OOP, data structures, algorithms, logical reasoning, and problem solving.

  • Good knowledge of C#/.NET Core, or another modern backend framework.

  • Basic understanding of relational databases, REST APIs, and version control (Git).

  • Understand database concepts and able to write sql queries with joins

  • Familiarity with Agile concepts (user stories, backlog, sprints).

  • Good communication and team collaboration skills.

  • Quick learner with a growth mindset.

  • Awareness of AI tools and how they support coding, testing, and documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of unit testing (xUnit, JUnit, NUnit).

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps basics.

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/Cloudflare) is a plus.
