Data Scientist II

About the role

The Mozn brand is alive within a plethora of stakeholder touchpoints and therefore the most suitable candidate for the Data Scientist II position would have hands-on experience in Financial Fraud Detection, KYC, AML, and applied Generative AI solutions. As a Data Scientist II, you will independently contribute to building and deploying analytics and AI models that address fraud and financial crime challenges.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the development and deployment of fraud detection, AML, and GenAI-driven solutions.
• Apply LLMs to real-world problems such as transaction investigation, sanctions screening, and workflow automation.
• Translate business requirements into analytical and AI solutions.
• Own defined components of projects and deliver them end to end.
• Conduct experimentation and optimization of ML and GenAI models.
• Train, deploy, and monitor models in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Interact with SME clients under guidance.
• Stay updated with regulatory, industry, and Generative AI best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2–4 years of experience delivering data science solutions.
• Hands-on experience with ML models and exposure to Generative AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, feature engineering, and model deployment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and adaptability.
