Description

Join the company defining what it means to be an Impact Lender!

Mortgages are what we do, but that doesn't define who we are. In 2008, Movement disrupted the industry with the innovative 6-7-1 mortgage process. In 2023, we pioneered again, helping launch Impact Lending – a new category of lending. Any mortgage lender that commits at least 10% of its profits to helping the neighborhoods it serves is an Impact Lender.

At Movement, we are Impact Lenders. We give 40%-50% of our profits to making an impact in our communities. For us, purpose and people have always come before profit.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing data team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting data-driven decision-making processes by conducting data analysis, building and maintaining reports and data pipelines, and communicating insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have experience in SQL and modern data transformation, analysis and visualization tools.

How you'll contribute:

  • Conduct data analysis and modeling to support business decisions and needs
  • Be a go-to subject matter expert around the meaning, purpose, use and understanding of our data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and customers to discover needs and define business requirements and goals
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and metadata, especially for data assets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organization, communicating insights, findings and recommendations
  • Orchestrate and maintain data pipelines, catalogs, reports and dashboards using data platform tools
  • Implement and test data integrations and transformation processes with nascent data sources while having a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, reliability and relevance.
  • Proactively triage operational alarms, exceptions, and failures while seeking the root cause, communicating with the right parties, and contributing to the resolution.
  • Identify areas for improvements and recommend solutions
  • Participate in the development and implementation of best practices, policies and procedures for data governance, data security, and data privacy

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, statistics, or mathematics; Master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis or related field, preferably with mortgage or financial industry knowledge
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools
  • Experience with data modeling, ELT, schema design, and data warehousing
  • Experience with statistical analysis techniques and problem solving techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Be someone who stays up to date with emerging technologies and best practices

The expected salary range for this position is between:

$88,700.00 - $112,300.00
