Department Overview

Coordinates all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements. May work at client site from time to time. Typically involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams. Project is typically focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products to improvement of customer satisfaction through the use of technology. Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests. Typically oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment.

Job Description

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the implementation of Communication System Projects and will act as the single point of contact and interface for assigned areas of responsibility. Will be responsible for the preparation, budgeting, progress/process control, and optimization of Project Plans with a focus on cost efficiency, risk management, and the management of customers and subcontractors. The PM is responsible for delivering the contractual scope on schedule and within budget, while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Mandatory Security Clearance Requirement:

Motorola Solutions Norway is subject to the Norwegian Security Act (sikkerhetsloven), which establishes strict requirements for the organization’s handling of classified information and critical infrastructure. It is a mandatory requirement that the successful candidate is eligible for the Norwegian security clearance at Confidential or higher level.

Basic Requirements

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of project management experience.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required or relevant business experiences.
• Languages: Norwegian and English is required.
• Soft Skills: Must be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance. Must possess excellent collaboration, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Work Ethic: Must have strong planning and organization skills, and be efficiency and quality driven.
