About the Role: 

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will play a leading role in supporting our sales team. The role will report into our Account Strategy & Growth team and be responsible for a variety of machine learning, data science and AI projects that enable Motive to sell better to potential customers. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop automated backend data systems to collect and sanitize data on accounts for Motive’s sales team. Build integrations with third party systems and data partners, improve the quality of Motive’s account database 
  • Expand the functionality of our internal distribution engine which assigns accounts to the 1,000+ sales reps at Motive. Implement systems which prioritize and assign prospect accounts to our Sales team
  • Enhance sales efficiency by implementing enhanced data and machine learning processes. Become the subject matter expert on how our account data is collected, expanded, maintained and used within our sales process. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 6+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, data science or AI.
  • A robust background as an individual contributor working on ML, data science or AI:
    • Strong experience in designing and implementing highly scalable Python data systems and services. Experience in object oriented programming.
    • Past experience with Machine Learning and Statistical modeling (Regression, Classification, Clustering, XGboost, AdaBoost, etc.)
    • Familiarity/past exposure with deep learning technologies, natural language processing and text mining is preferred.
    • Experience in SQL, data modeling and data architecture optimized for big data patterns. Previous experience in big data and warehousing technologies like Snowflake, Redshift.
    • Good understanding of operations and building distributed systems at scale: CICD, cloud deployment, containerized platform development, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, etc.
  • Previous experience mentoring and coaching others in the areas of machine learning and AI is preferred.
  • An interest in sales and helping Motive’s sales team perform better. Past exposure to sales or marketing machine learning models is preferred. 
  • A strong ability to work in a cross functional working environment. This role will be tasked with building up our ML/AI capabilities for sales and will have the opportunity to directly interact with business and operation stakeholders. 
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. You collaborate effectively with other teams and communicate clearly about your work including to non-technical stakeholders.
