Our Data team is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer (m/f/d) who will be responsible for building and maintaining our data infrastructure to that supports our analytics team using data-driven insights to support our customer success managers and enable the commercial success of Moss.

Your responsibilities

Here's a bit more on what you can expect to be doing day-to-day:

• Enhance and maintain data replication infrastructure
  You will ensure our data replication systems are reliable, scalable, and optimized for performance. This includes troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements to guarantee seamless data flow across systems.

• Strengthen and extend the data platform
  You will work on making our data platform robust, scalable, and user-friendly for analysts and data consumers. This includes optimizing processes and creating tools that enhance accessibility and usability.

• Own and refine data access and permissions frameworks
  You will take responsibility for managing and improving data access controls and permissions, ensuring secure, streamlined, and compliant data usage.

• Optimize data pipeline infrastructure
  You will work to enhance the core data pipeline infrastructure, with a focus on simplifying our DBT repository to maximize ease of use for analysts and other stakeholders.

• Contribute to ML Ops initiatives
  You will have the opportunity to work on machine learning operations topics, contributing to the design and implementation of robust workflows for model training, deployment, and monitoring.

About you

We think you’ll need the following experience and qualifications to succeed in the role: 

• Strong programming skills, with experience in Python is a plus but not required.

• Infrastructure as code (IAC) should not be an alien concept to you. We work with terraform and helm primarily for IAC.

• Deep knowledge of industry standard data engineering tools. DBT, data warehouses, airflow, SQL etc.

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Impact Driven: You focus on making analysts more productive by providing essential tools, streamlining workflows, and removing any obstacles in their path. Regularly gather feedback from analysts to continuously improve the tools and processes they rely on.
