Description

At Moss, we help companies spend smarter. We’re a place where aspiring, adaptable quick-thinkers thrive, and we’re set to become the next leading spend management platform in the European FinTech industry.

We’re looking for a Product Tribe Lead for our Financial Services Tribe. Reporting directly to the COO, you’ll work with product managers, designers, engineers and other business functions to drive growth in our highest revenue generating domain. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering best-in-class solutions across the entire financial services product offering, from Moss’s Treasury and Payments suite to building our in-house tooling and infrastructure, including integrations with our PSP’s, bank, and credit partners.

Your responsibilities

As a Product Tribe Lead, you’ll be responsible for creating and delivering the product vision and strategy for the Financial Services offering, in line with business objectives. The role includes a mix of management as well as hands-on responsibilities.
You will:

  • User Insights: Gain an in-depth understanding of our financial services user persona, needs, and pain points through external discovery interviews, sales and support team discussions, desk research, and data analysis. At the same time you will balance customer needs with internal financial services operations needs.

  • Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and continuously iterate on the product roadmap in close collaboration with leadership to optimise for velocity (impact at pace).

  • Delivery Oversight: Oversee or run product development and launch to ensure the entire team delivers high-quality products that meet user needs, by managing timelines, and maintaining effective communication and feedback loops.

  • Launch Management: Collaborate closely with Product Marketing and our revenue teams to align on internal education and training needs, as well as external messaging and target audience, ensuring the product's value aligns with market needs. Monitor and drive launch metrics and KPIs and define pricing / packaging to ensure fast adoption and effective monetization of the products in your scope.

  • Tribe Leadership: Build, coach, and develop a team of best-in-class Product Managers and a well-functioning tribe across Engineering, Product, Data, and Design. Own hiring processes and set up onboarding and training to improve team engagement and performance.

  • Domain Advocacy: Act as an ambassador for the financial services domain and our product, promoting and championing its vision, value, and strategic direction both internally and externally. Foster a deeper understanding of the domain including regulatory considerations across the company.

About you

We think you’ll need the following experience and qualifications to succeed in the role:

  • Professional experience as a Product Leader and people manager within the financial services industry, preferably with expertise in B2B Payments and/or Treasury Management.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex cross-functional teams and/or projects.

  • Fluent in English.

In addition, here are the skills and attributes we are looking for:

  • Impactful Leader: You're dedicated to making a tangible impact, ensuring our product not only delights customers but also achieves widespread adoption and relevant monetization. You're hands-on while also guiding your team, ensuring both you and they deliver quality impact at pace.

  • Domain Expert: You strive to be an expert in your domain, proactively cultivating a deep knowledge of the (Financial Services) users’ pain-points and needs. You inspire and coach your team to enhance their own understanding in order to deliver best-in-class products that significantly impact our customer’s or our ways of working.

  • Agile Thinker: You like the details, seeking out data from a range of sources to make informed decisions, while being able to zoom out and see the “bigger picture” to focus on what will move the needle. You’re able to handle frequent changes and in ambiguous situations, you focus on important details without getting lost.

  • Adaptive Communicator: You convey information effectively to a variety of audiences, leveraging your empathy to understand their perspective and form trustworthy connections. You’re able to collaborate and influence team members and stakeholders across all departments and seniority levels.

  • Empathetic Coach: You build a high-performing team by providing direction and creating a supportive culture based on mutual trust. You successfully inspire, empower, and influence those you interact with.

Our offer

We believe the greatest benefit we can offer you is the opportunity to build a category-defining product and to have significant impact. We are committed to developing your skills and progressing your career - we’d like to help you on that journey. But you can also expect the below:

  • An attractive compensation package, including our company stock option plan

  • An annual learning budget of 600 euros
