Vice President

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks to fill the position of Vice President in New York, NY.

Build and maintain Java Spring Boot services, ETL flows, and Python data quality rules. Maintain schema and content of operational data stores and data warehouse. Respond to support queries and system or data alerts. Participate in software development life cycle (SDLC) from requirements to development, deployment, and support in an Agile environment. Support European UCITS regulatory reporting, GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards) composite management, operational risk reporting, and internal and vendor financial model change management processes. Provide support for performance attribution and other risk management functions.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $185000 and $200000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study plus five (5) years  of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Senior Java Engineer, Senior Production Specialist, or a related occupation.  Requires five (5) years of experience with: distributing data via micro-services or APIs; Core Java 1.8 or above; Spring; Spring Boot; SQL; Java database connectivity; relational databases including DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and Sybase; Service Oriented Architecture; RESTful services; Unix and Linux environments; JavaScript; test-driven development; and behavior-driven development.
