Technology and Operations Risk’s mission is to deliver first-line defenses to manage Cyber and Fraud risks to Morgan Stanley’s technology, operations and information through risk identification, control management and assurance. This allows the business to operate and grow in a secure and legally-compliant manner. Job Profile

Authentication & Identity Management is part of Identity & Access Management in Cybersecurity. Our team has over 100 members in more than 10 squads across New York, Alpharetta, Montreal, London, Glasgow, Budapest, and Bangalore.

We design, build, and operate critical security infrastructure to secure the whole firm, including the 100,000+ members of our global workforce - with applications in our own datacenters and on public cloud providers - and platforms with millions of clients, from individual investors to the largest companies in the world, across Morgan Stanley Online, Morgan Stanley at Work, Matrix, and E*TRADE.

Our product portfolio includes identity lifecycle management, directory services, and web and multifactor authentication. We are hiring for a range of roles including software, infrastructure, and reliability engineering, and delivery management.

All roles require:

* The ability to work in a highly regulated global environment
* Collaboration with colleagues as part of a distributed squad
* Strong problem-solving skills

Software Engineering: Java or C++ development and maintenance of associated build and deployment pipelines that enable squads to ship to production multiple times per day.

Infrastructure and Reliability Engineering: Management of large-scale infrastructure, using scripting and automation frameworks.

Delivery Management: Support the globally distributed squads in collaboration with Product Owners, ensuring blockers are identified and resolved to allow continuous flow of delivery.

Skill Set

All roles require active, hands-on engagement to deliver solutions for our clients.

Familiarity with our product portfolio is a plus:

Authentication

* Ping Identity PingFederate, ForgeRock AM/IG, SiteMinder, Microsoft Entra ID
* Standards-based protocols like OpenID Connect, SAML, Kerberos, and Radius
* Multifactor Authentication like RSA SecurID, Cisco Duo Security, FIDO2 / Webauthn, VIP, OATH-TOTP, and SMS OTP providers.

Identity

* Ping Identity Ping Directory Server/ ForgeRock DS
* ForgeRock IDM, Microsoft Entra ID
* Standards-based protocols like LDAP and SCIM

Additionally valuable would be experience with:

* Encryption-in-transit solutions (TLS, certificate management)
* Encryption-at-rest (HSM, HashiCorp Vault)
* Unix / Linux systems administration (RedHat Enterprise Linux, CentOS)
* Automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform)
* Public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Qualifications/Criterion

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience.
