UX Lead, Digital Marketing Technology - Vice President - Software Engineering
Profile Description
We’re seeking someone to join our team as Vice President, team is responsible for developing and supporting the firm's primary publicweb site https://www.morganstanley.com and intranet portal. We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing technical lead/developer with experience in the UX space. This role is responsible for our UX technology strategy, technical analysis & design, hands-on development, and oversight of UX development team members. The individual will work closely with our developer leads and business sponsors to define approaches, priorities, and timelines.
Enterprise_Technology
Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.
Human Resources, Digital Marketing & Corporate Communication Technology
Supports clients in attracting, developing and engaging employees through Technology innovation. Implements Technology to help reinforce the Firm’s brand through driving new business and fostering business collaboration. Leverages Technology to help connect employees to the Firm and our culture, as well as to highlight the Firm’s people and accomplishments.

This is Vice President position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
Responsibilities
Lead our front-end developers to deliver quality code per your standards, and the standards of our squad, our clients, and the firm.
Collaborate with UX and Product Design teams in our business team following their design requirements and guidance. They deliver Figma-based designs. Have familiarity with Figma or similar design tool.
Work within our technology governance for SDLC, tech design, and best practices. Understand why we follow this governance.
Participate in standup, backlog grooming, sprint planning, collaborating w/ your dev, qa, and product owner colleagues.
Recommend new technologies and frameworks in development, testing, and support of our client-side code. Create best practices for the team regarding coding, diagnostic capabilities, attention to performance and security.
With support from the team, responsible to apply Internet accessibility standards, known as WCAG - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. WCAG standards are a best practice for the use of HTML elements, keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, color contrast checks, form optimization, error states, labeling and displaying data. Will work with automated and manual testing tools to identify and remediate accessibility issues.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Required Skills:
At least 10+ years' relevant experience experience in technical analysis, design and development for this role with Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
Experience developing and deploying web applications.
Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Understand browsers. Have full competency of browser developer tools.
Understand SDLC principles and practices. Take responsibility for our CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity w/ tools to manage, edit, build, deliver i.e.: Eclipse IDE, Git, Gradle, Jenkins, Jira.
Working on a Windows 11 desktop as your dev machine and Linux servers running our network and systems.
Understand performance and secure coding considerations for execution within the browser.
Understand and support efficient caching in a CDN and browser.
Familiarity with CMS platforms. We use Adobe Experience Manager v6.5 and have several additional products to support UX including Adobe Dynamic Media and AEM Assets.
Develop code and content integrated with and delivered by our AEM platform. Recognize our paradigm and help make the best use of the platform.
Knowledge of tag management systems, we use Adobe Analytics.

Work closely with your QA colleagues. You test before they test.
Show ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, exercise judgement, and be open and willing to grow.
