We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Vice President), The role is to Implement software used for real-time Inventory Management for Securities Lending and Firm Funding businesses. This role provides the unique opportunity of leading initiatives towards next generation of cloud-compatible Inventory Management platform while partnering with business in supporting the existing platform.

InstitutionalSecurities_Technology

Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.

Prime Brokerage Tech

Provides platform to those who borrow cash and securities from the Firm to execute their investment strategies. Some of our solutions are also leveraged by other businesses within the Firm’s Institutional Securities Group (ISG).

Securities Finance technology team is a global multi squad Agile team playing a unique and critical role in bridging client financing and firm funding, with activities that scale across the entire secured funding trade lifecycle. Our clients include Securities Lending, Firm Funding, Corporate Treasury, Finance Operations, Operations & Risk Control (ORC), Clearing Operations, Collateral Management Operations and Prime Brokerage. Responding to both business and regulatory requirements, we deliver best-in-class solutions to enable desk to remain efficient and to grow their P&L.

This is Vice President  position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Strong & experienced technologist working as a technologist within a high-performance team to help drive the business implementation & cloud ready architecture.
• Effectively apply software and systems engineering principles to build and run complex, distributed, scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
• Implement highly observable, available, and testable services in a cloud ready manner
• Mentor junior technologists within the team and collaborate with other senior technologists within the team.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with external teams to help achieve the objectives of strategic integration as part of the renovation agenda. Ability to disambiguate and dive deep as needed.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• At least 6 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
• A superior technologist, with strong design and implementation fundamentals

• Experience in leading implementation of trading platforms or other similar applications in Financial Services Industry.

• Prior experience in Secured Financing will be useful, however, the ability and willingness to master new technical and business concepts will be considered.
• Java / spring - Strong experience in developing enterprise level systems using Java / Spring.
• Multithreading / Concurrency – Strong experience in implementing multi-threaded applications
• Prior experience of technically leading the projects
• Experience of leading and mentoring developers
• Strong design skills for building scalable systems
• Test and Behavior Driven Development in agile setup
• Exposure to JavaScript framework like Angular is desirable
• Exposure to Kafka/Event sourced Architecture would be a plus
• Desire to learn the business domain and partner with global stakeholders in supporting the technology platform and the business
